Modifying an Existing Request (Supervisor)
How to get to this page: Leave Requests tab
Supervisors can modify leave requests submitted
by their employees.
- Click the Leave Request tab. By default,
current month pending requests
for your employees are displayed.
- If the employee request you
want to modify does not appear on screen, you can locate the employee
(request) one of two ways:
- Specify
Search On criteria—click
and choose Employee
Name or Employee ID Number.
Enter the search string in the Find
Employee box and click Go.
- Using
the alphabet-bar at the bottom of the screen, click the first
letter of the employee's last name to return requests of employees
whose last name starts with that letter. Click #
to return records that begin with a number. Click All
to return all employee requests.
Note: If you enter only the first few characters
of a search string prior to clicking Go, all employees having those characters
in the specified search are returned. This is useful for narrowing down
search results if you do not enter a specific search string.
- To
open the request you want to modify, double click anywhere on that request's
display line.
- Make
changes to the leave request as needed. For more information about the
various fields, see Entering a new leave
request.
- The fields To
Be Paid and its Edit fields
are visible only if activated respectively in Configurations > Settings
> Schedule and Leave Request Settings.
To
Be Paid
Choose when the employee is to be paid for
the requested leave. Click
and choose Time
Off Date (default), Starting Date
of Pay Period, Ending Date of
Pay Period, or None.
To
Be Paid Edit fields
If you chose Starting
Date of Pay Period or Ending Date
of Pay Period in the To Be Paid field, you can now specify the
pay period on which to base the pay for this request. To assign a different Pay Period click
.
In the pop-up dialog click to choose the pay period, and click OK. The Pay
Year and Pay Period Number
are now displayed on the leave request screen.
- You can enter or edit notes
in the Comments box. If
you do enter comments, select either Single
Day to apply the comments to the first day in the date range
or select All Days to apply
the comments to all days.

In the accruals window is a listing of all the
accrual types for which the employee accrues hours. Displayed for each
accrual type is the current balance, future time off requests, and available
hours. The Future Time Off Requests
column displays hours that include any future leave requests and/or future
bulk hours associated with the pay type of accrual usage.
- Action
menu items:
- To
view a history of changes made to the Leave Request as well as by whom
those changes were made, click Action
and choose Audit.
- Click Save
and Close to save the employee's leave request as pending.
